I designed and animated this video to support Boulder’s Energy Future campaign. This video is framing Boulders energy discussion as a choice between “renewal of the Xcel franchise” and “municipalization”. It educates on the option to vote for a localization strategy: positioning the city to take a path to municipalization but also retain flexibility, with the goal to democratize energy decission making, decentralize energy generation and decarbonize the energy supply to rely on renewable and clean fuel sources, as much as possible and as quickly as possible.
This video was the main campaign tool before the Boulder election in 2011, used at major events and online to spread the message.
